7 Week Pupdate
I have I have attached temperament evaluations of the litter. This is performed by a stranger to the puppies while I make notes. Below this is a videos of each pup 1 on 1. I hope this provides a little more insight for you rather than a group video.
*I am sorry about the intermittent buzzing noise in the videos!*
I am not sure what is causing this. I think I need to get a new phone! If you opt to mute the videos because of the annoying buzzing, the only thing you need to know is that I make a loud noise slamming metal potty grids in each video to see how the pup reacts to an unexpected loud sound!
I will send an email to confirm that all is normal after the vet visit on Wednesday, and initiate selections. Please reach out if you have questions/concerns regarding selection day. I am more than happy to discuss with you prior to selection day, or on the day of. Just give me a call or send a text!

All A's: An all "A" puppy is dominant, bright and interactive. Raising him will take consistency and prior dog experience. He is resilient and bold.
All N's: Easy going and contained, this puppy will be pleasant and self-assured. He may not be terribly motivated to follow your agenda when it conflicts with his own, but he is more resilient that an NP puppy and won't hold a grudge after a negative experience.
All P's: This puppy has a weak self-esteem and needs your reassurance to feel safe. He will do best in a calm home, and is well suited for a retiree/empty nesters, someone who is home often. He has amazing potential to become a gentle, loving, and devoted companion. But only if his owner is committed to providing consistent and positive socialization very early in life. Without this, he'll certainly be shy.
***Keep in mind, the mixed descriptions below is assuming a 50/50 mix. A pup that has 1 P and remaining N's will lean more similar to a "All N" pup than an "NP" pup.***
Mix of A and N's: This puppy will want to be an active participant in your family, and is well suited for a bustling household. He is up for anything, but shows more impulse control than an "All A" puppy, and will look to you for leadership rather than compete you for it. Consistent expectations and boundaries are important for all puppies, but especially a pup with many A's.
Mix of N and P's: This puppy will be go with the flow and is well suited for an average to calm household. An NP pup will have a stronger sense of self than a completely passive puppy, but early socialization and positive experiences are still very important.

6 Week Pupdate
Puppies did so well in a puppy pen together that we have let them stay together this week! Both mothers get along very well as co-parents and feed and care for the combo of litters happily. Puppy teeth are coming in, and they are SHARP. So mothers are hopping in the pen for short sessions, and then hang out nearby out of reach. We are so proud of all the babies for using the potty grids with surprising accuracy for their age! About 90% of the time they are pooping on the grids and this is improving every day. They are enjoying human interaction and are meeting other dogs at the house. Puppies are starting on hard kibble (Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy) mixed with a little warm water 3x/day, along with continued nursing when the mothers choose between 7AM-10pm. They are lapping water from bowls as well. We look forward to August 6th vet exam. We will start puppy selections on this day as well!
So far evaluations from last week are pretty similar this week, with minor changes from pup to pup. I will edit last week's notes to match what we are seeing this week.
Ms. Lime is a silly and spunky, interactive and happy go lucky girl. While she likes attention she isn't desperate, she switches from engaging with humans to entertaining herself, depending on her mood. She is a very smart and intuitive girlie, and is a well rounded "middle of the road" type pup within this litter. She has a beautiful blocky head and coloring.
Ms. Pink is a sweet girl that is smart and focused. She has the "older sister" vibe within her litter, but isn't always quite so tough as she thinks she is and can be a little unsure when something new and scary is introduced, she will take a step back and evaluate with her "wheels turning" before exploring. She looks up to make eye contact and is going to bond strongly with her owner and will likely do best in a home where someone is around often and wants a sidekick.
Ms. Yellow: Still sensitive and submissive, but has shown in the last week that she has a playful side too! She is goofy with her siblings. When interacting with humans she uses her paws and hops like a bunny to engage in play. She is going to be a sweetheart!
Ms. Purple: The most sensitive of the pups, Purple is such an endearing little baby. She will snuggle deep into your neck and gives you kisses when you cuddle her. We have found that she is more likely to engage with us after the initial burst of energy from her siblings dies down and she can engage in a less chaotic setting without being bullied/overwhelmed by the larger pups. She can be super silly pawing at us and even getting the zoomies around our ankles when she is given time. I am confident that she will continue to blossom and be adored by her future family. She will likely do best in quiet household with people who will shower her with love (aka, spoil her)!
***The girls each have pretty distinct personalities, while the boys below are all quite similar!***
Mr. Black: This fella is the life of the party and the class clown! He is engaging and interested in people, bright eyed and playful. Truly loving towards everyone he meets and resilient to changes. He is going to be perfect for an active home whose dog will truly be part of their family.
Mr. Red: He is adoring and looks up at you with eye contact and the most expressive "love me" face! He seems to be built more stout that his siblings, maybe leaning more towards the retriever build than slim poodle (time will tell). He loves belly scratches while falling asleep in your arms.
Mr. Green: Engaged with people, playful and interactive. A middle-of-the-road pup within the litter who is well rounded, and cute as a button. Green is a whole-butt tail wagger and will give kisses to anyone who will accept them.
Mr. Orange: Orange is one of a kind, simply a happy boy! He is silly and SO sweet. He loves everyone he meets and gets so excited when given special attention. I suspect he will bond very tightly to his person (and keep everyone around him laughing).
Mr. Blue: Middle of the road, happy go lucky boy that adores cuddles. He was like a limp noodle being held and passed between visitors this weekend, falling asleep in their arms like a baby! He is trusting and adoring of people, gentle and sweet.

4-5 Week Pupdate
What a change one week can make! Puppies are interacting with each other and today (7/18) we were decided to put them all together for the first time! At this time I plan to let them stay together, as both moms are getting along great and so are the babies. They are starting to use their potty grids for pooping (woohoo)! Their sweet little personalities are starting to emerge, and while it is still very early and things will likely change, I am going to include a brief description of traits I am seeing in each pup this week. Puppies are offered puppy porridge 3x a day, along with continued full access to their mothers. We have scheduled their vet exams for August 6th.
Ms. Lime: Silly and spunky, interactive and happy go lucky girl.
Ms. Pink: Smart and focused, wants to be the boss and center of attention!
Ms. Yellow: Sensitive and submissive. Today was a big day combining the two litters, so she was tuckered out and a little overwhelmed by the time we took videos. Needs a little more time to come out of her shell. She is going to be a sweetheart!

3 Week Pupdate
Puppies are official "toddlers" who can move around and explore their environment! We enlarged their puppy pens and have added potty grids to begin encouraging them to use a specific potty area (of course right now this is "hit and miss"). It is a little early to establish each individuals' personality traits, it is a lot of fun to see them navigate this big world, and to watch their wheels turn when we introduce a new item for them to investigate. Puppies are still primarily nursing, but both litters have officially started on "puppy porridge." I was able to include a video of each litter eating below. Annie's litter started 2x/day mealtimes a couple days ago and are voracious eaters! Millie's puppies are a little behind Annie's in their development and not quite as interested in solid food yet, their video shows the first time they had ever been introduced to food! Enjoy!
2 Week Pupdate
Moms and puppies are doing great, and we officially have peepers! Little eyes are starting to open, and while they can't walk yet, they are practicing getting their feet under them and a couple can comfortably lift up to a sit. Their ears are starting to open as well, which means that they are reacting to some sounds. Most of the day is still spent napping and eating, but they have started to mouth and lick one another as they "discover" their siblings. Pups will start having excursions from our bedroom to the living room or kitchen each day to immerse in the main sounds and smells of a typical household. Right now they spend time listening to "Baby Mozart" and a couple times each day we try to make some sudden loud "scary" noise (like dropping a heavy book next to their whelping box). Pups startle at the sound and vibration for a moment, but quickly fall back to sleep. Doing this now may help prevent noise sensitivity later in life!
We included a couple blooper photos at the end of this week's gallery. I want to note that Mr. Red is yawning, not crying! Silly puppies!

The Girls: Ms. Yellow, Ms. Purple, Ms. Lime, and Ms. Pink
The Boys: Mr. Black, Mr. Red, Mr. Green, Mr. Orange, and Mr. Blue
Both litters are thriving and gaining weight rapidly (especially Annie's litter- they are already chunky like their mother). They spend most of their days sleeping and nursing. We have been doing ENS (early neurological stimulation) daily and pups had their first nail trim yesterday. We look forward to eyes beginning to open in a week or so. At this time all puppies appear very similar in size and structure. Some puppies have white markings on their chest, face, and paws. All puppies are shades of red to apricot. If you have a preferred color tone (lighter or darker) don't get too fixated on particular puppies yet. Darker colored puppies could lighten, while lighter puppies could darken. Time will tell!

6-17/6-18: Millie's Puppies are here!
Millie followed Annie's lead, she delivered here pups 3 days after Annie to the dot... she also split her litter between days with the last pup (the one with the big white spot on his forehead) being born after midnight. Mommy and pups are healthy and doing well. This is Millie's first litter and she is a natural. She is now sleeping hard with her newborns.
6-14/6-15: Annie's Father's Day Surprise!
Happy Father’s Day to all you future puppy parents! Annie decided to give you FIVE little presents during the night (4 girls born late on Saturday June 14th, and 1 boy during the wee hours of the morning today on Sunday June 15th)! All babies appear healthy and similar in size, nursing well. Delivery was uneventful and Annie is a wonderful mother. This is her 2nd Litter. Annie is most comfortable close to us, so she is in our living room corner, snoozing and watching the US Open with my husband. Mom and pups need to bond and rest now, so I am not going to disturb them for staged photos just yet… but I have attached a sneak-peek! I will take official litter photos tomorrow.
06-12: Officially On "Baby Watch" For Annie
We are officially on “baby watch” for Annie, whose earliest possible delivery day is tomorrow, Friday the 13th (yikes). Anytime within the next week is possible. Annie is really starting to waddle and needs help on and off the couch. I suspect puppies will be here by Monday. Millie is still able to move around comfortably, she will likely deliver around the end of next week. The girls are spending most of the day snoozing on the couch and enjoying several small meals a day, this morning they got scrambled eggs and chicken on top of their kibble. Dogs usually lose their appetite 24 hours or so before puppies arrive, so I think we are in the clear for today. Pictured below, Millie is in the middle and Annie is on the right. Ginger on the left is Annie’s mother (now happily retired). The girls are shaggy and will be getting their short maternity haircuts soon.
