Pupdates
Weekly "Pupdates" are posted below on Friday evenings
The 1, 2, 3 & 4 Week Pupdates will include weights and a general litter update.
At 4 Weeks, ID collars go on the pups (prior to this we avoid any sort of collar or color coding dye for their safety).
The 5 & 6 Week Pupdates will include weights and brief description of each pup as their personality emerges.
The 7 Week (Final) Pupdate will include weights, personality descriptions, temperament testing, and vet checkup results.
The 1, 2, 3 & 4 Week Pupdates will include weights and a general litter update.
At 4 Weeks, ID collars go on the pups (prior to this we avoid any sort of collar or color coding dye for their safety).

Congratulations to a successful puppy selection day! It is hard to believe that all of these babies will be going to their new homes in just one week. As we prepare for puppy pickup weekend, we ask for you to take one last look over the New Owner's Page.
Important Reminders:
1) We only accept CASH as final payment at pickup (no checks or online transfers, no exceptions).
2) To prevent deadly canine viruses (such as parvo) from entering our home, please:
-Clean the bottom of your shoes of all debris and sanitize the tread with a bleach product the night before your visit
-Do not visit any pet stores, dog parks, vets, or others areas where dogs congregate on the day of your visit
-As much as we would love to meet your current pets, please do NOT bring any other pets when you visit.
We really appreciate you taking these steps to keep our precious babies SAFE!
3) Remember to pack these items to make your trip home with your new puppy easier:
-Towels or blankets to cover your seats and to hold the puppy in your lap with
-Paper towels, Clorox wipes, and baby wipes
-A water bottle and small Tupperware container with a lid to use as a bowl
-A lightweight leash (non-retractable, dollar store leashes are perfect!)

Bella's litter had a busy week! We enjoyed a few warm days that allowed us to take them out to play (unfortunately, it looks like we will be inside for the rest of their time here- it has been SO wet and icy). They are getting much more active and spending hours a day playing- they LOVE the little tikes slide and tunnel. They were wonderful at the vet, everyone was so impressed with how confident and well behaved they were- and all had perfect exams!
Mr. Blue: This silly boy has a playful, outgoing temperament. He is going to get very attached to his family, as he LOVES interacting with people. I hope you like cuddles- because this boy lives for giving cuddles and kisses. Mr. Blue had a perfect vet exam! 4lbs 1oz
Mr. Red: This little guy is the little sweetheart of the bunch. He has a loving demeanor and is gentle when approaching new people (don't let that fool you though, he loves to play. Mr. Red had a perfect vet exam! 3lbs 3oz
Ms. Pink: This gal is a spitfire that looooves people and attention! Ms. Pink had a perfect vet exam and will be staying here at Red Spring Farm. 3lbs 4oz
Mr. Aqua: This boy is intelligent, outgoing, and very people-oriented! He will thrive with someone who likes to teach their pup commands. He has been nicknamed prancer because of his adorable, peppy gait. He likes to explore new things. He maintains great eye contact. Mr. Aqua had a perfect vet exam! 3lbs 15oz
Mr. Orange: This fella has a face that will melt your heart. He is the leggiest pup in the bunch but his slightly-taller stature doesn't make him a bully... he is a pushover! He is playful, cuddly, and just wants love. Mr. Orange had a perfect vet exam! 4lbs 2oz
Mr. Green: This handsome boy is a great combo of mild mannered and playful! He is a thoughtful little guy who is independent (but of course, still plenty cuddly) Just a little gentleman! Mr. Green had a perfect vet exam! 4lbs 1oz

will cringe fearfully.

6th Pupdate:
Bella's sweethearts have officially WEANED and are on kibble! They have been transitioned to a larger playpen- which has been tons of fun, and they are spending time in the crate as a group each day. Potty training has been touch and go since they have moved to the larger pen (which is normal, they are still babies!) so we will start moving them to a smaller sleepy-time pen to help reinforce their potty-pan skills each day.
Mr. Blue: Mr. Blue is a handsome little lover with a big, goofy personality. 3lb 5oz
Mr. Red: This sweet boy is the smallest in the bunch (he will grow into his ears!) and he has a gentle, sweet personality. 2lb 5oz

5th Pupdate:
Bella's beautiful babies have had a busy week with lots of extra attention thanks to our holiday visitors. They are well on their way to being weaned and are now expecting regular meals of kibble. They will be introduced to their crate this week (open door).
Mr. Blue: This cutie pie is a little ham! He has a big, goofy personality. 2lb 10oz
Mr. Red: Such a little sweetheart, this precious boy is a lover and a cuddle bug. 1lb 13oz
Ms. Pink: My goodness this little girl is a fireball and is oh-so-sweet. Full of enthusiasm and kisses! 2lb 0oz
Mr. Aqua: This boy is sweet and spunky in the cutest way! He has pep in his step and is BFF's with his sister. 2lb 8oz
Mr. Orange: This big fella is an absolute heartbreaker! He is a great balance of playful and cuddly. 2lbs 11oz
Mr. Green: Such a cutie, this boy maintains his middle-of-the road disposition. He is a happy boy who really likes to be held. 2lbs 8oz

4th Pupdate:
We are halfway there ya'll! This is when things start getting lively FAST!
Bella's littles are doing amazing and we are even having some regular escape artists who manage to scale the 11" barrier out of their small toddler pen. They got their first puppy mush meal this evening (11/22) and they devoured it with gusto. We always feed pups before changing their bedding because they make a HUGE mess. We made the mistake of not doing puppy photos before their meal- so please ignore the messy puppy-mush faces this week (Mr. Blue was so excited that he ended up with puppy mush everywhere)! We took a quick video and will include that in this week's gallery. These sweet babies have earned a larger pen this week and will begin having daytime excursions to play pen setups in our larger dog room, where they will get to enjoy their first toys and also meet some of our adult dogs within our pack here at Red Spring Farm. They are also getting their ID collars this week- so if you notice extra scratching and head shaking, don't worry! They are just getting used to the sensation of a collar.
Mr. Blue: This sweet boy is food motivated and loves his mommy! He is a fast learner and one of the escape artists! 1lb 14oz
Mr. Red: I can already tell that this is the sweetie in the litter. He is a lover and a cuddler. 1lb 8oz
Ms. Pink: This silly girl is definitely going to be a tomboy- she has no problem keeping up or roughhousing with her brothers. Confident and intelligent 1lb 13oz
Mr. Aqua: A spunky little fella! He perks right up when I walk in the room and his tail is always wagging. He is barely walking and already has pep in his step. 1lb 13oz
Mr. Orange: SUCH a momma's boy- the first of the escape artist, this boy would get out minutes after I put him back in, as he would want to follow mommy <3 After a day or two he even learned to crawl back over to his siblings. 1lb 13oz
Mr. Green:The last of the escape artists, this sweet boy figured it out a little later in the week than the other two (Orange and Blue). He has a nice middle of the road temperament so far. 1lb 13oz
*NOTE- Weights are with VERY full bellies (after first meal and a big helping at the "milk bar") so I expect that we won't see a massive change from this week to next week.

Mr. Red: I can already tell that this is the sweetie in the litter. He is a lover and a cuddler. 1lb 8oz
Ms. Pink: This silly girl is definitely going to be a tomboy- she has no problem keeping up or roughhousing with her brothers. Confident and intelligent 1lb 13oz
Mr. Aqua: A spunky little fella! He perks right up when I walk in the room and his tail is always wagging. He is barely walking and already has pep in his step. 1lb 13oz
Mr. Orange: SUCH a momma's boy- the first of the escape artist, this boy would get out minutes after I put him back in, as he would want to follow mommy <3 After a day or two he even learned to crawl back over to his siblings. 1lb 13oz
Mr. Green:The last of the escape artists, this sweet boy figured it out a little later in the week than the other two (Orange and Blue). He has a nice middle of the road temperament so far. 1lb 13oz
*NOTE- Weights are with VERY full bellies (after first meal and a big helping at the "milk bar") so I expect that we won't see a massive change from this week to next week.
3rd Pupdate:
Bella's sweet babies have finally transitioned to their toddler pen! Bella is an exceptionally good mommy with strong mothering instincts, this can cause issues when transitioning pups to different/larger areas- she wanted them back in her small, original "den" and would pick them up by the scruff and set them by the door of the toddler room- silly girl! After 36 hours of close monitoring she has decided to accept the change and pups are doing GREAT! They are growing and really beginning to toddle about the pen with more speed and stamina than last week. Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow? They will be introduced to their first puppy "mush" meals this week, and they will also be introduced to the potty rack, which will help keep things sanitary and establish good hygiene habits- a valuable trait for when you are house training your pup.

We have little "peepers"! Bella's pups are opening their eyes. Soon, they will be exploring their new found world, but for now, most of their days are spent at the "milk bar" or sleeping soundly.

We are going to do the "Happy Birthday" Pupdate one day early- we are so excited to show off these pretty boys and girl. These precious ones were born 10/23, mommy Bella did fabulously and every puppy is healthy and full size (no runts this time)! Bella blessed us with 1 girl and 5 boys.
