Parasite Prevention
I use 1-800-PetMeds to order most of the products:
  • I use Heartgard Plus monthly as Heartworm Prevention (vet prescription req'd)

Against vet recommendation, I do not treat for fleas/ticks year-round. I spot check dogs for fleas/ticks and only treat as needed with an over the counter topical. Please do your own research and be well informed before administering any flea/tick prevention.

I do NOT recommend using oral pesticides as the go-to prevention method without much research first (brand names include Trifexis, Bravecto, Comfortis, Triheart, or Nexgard... this list could go on).
