Please be patient with us while we put together our Bernedoodle site in the coming weeks! Ginger Top Bernedoodles Founder, Maureen, and I (Kristen) are currently co-raising a litter and will be posting information about Matilda's "Summer Garden Litter" HERE.
My dear friend, Maureen, of Ginger Top Bernedoodles recently announced her retirement. While I wish her well on this next chapter, it was sad to consider the possibility that her exceptional bloodline of Bernedoodles was ending. After much discussion, I am excited and honored to announce that the Ginger Top Bernedoodles bloodline will continue on here at Red Spring Farm!

HISTORY OF GINGER TOP BERNEDOODLES

Maureen and her husband, Rob, have had a passion for "Sennenhund" breeds since the 1990's, when they showed their trio of Swiss Mountain Dogs. Unfortunately, like many purebreds, these gentle giants have a multitude of breed-specific health problems. Maureen and I have been friends for many years prior to my dog breeding career, and she was the first person I discussed my own interest in breeding "doodles" with. She was immediately intrigued by the concept of producing healthier puppies by crossbreeding to reduce the incident of breed-specific genetic illness (and less shedding is a nice bonus of course). Once she met her first Bernedoodle, she was hooked! Thanks to her extensive knowledge of Swiss breeds, she understood the importance of starting with quality bloodlines. Her foundation dogs include Bernese Mountain Dogs imported directly from Europe, and Mika... Ginger Top's Bernedoodle matriarch, and Maureen's heart dog.
