Vet Visit/Pickup Info Below:

Our vet is EXTREMELY thorough, which we love. We describe puppy vet exams in three different ways... perfect, normal, or abnormal. If your puppy did not get a "perfect" exam and you have some concerns, please reach out for additional information.

Perfect exams mean that the vet didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, and so no additional notes were made on the pup's record sheet.

Normal exams are when pups have something worth noting, but these things are not unusual or expected to impact long term health. It is not unusual for puppies to have imperfect exams at this age. They are growing at a rapid pace, and this sometimes results in awkward phases.  In fact, sometimes we have more pups in a litter with "normal" exams than "perfect" exams!  Normal exam findings will likely either correct themselves with age or need simple correction at the time of spay/neuter. Examples of "normal" exams include pups with small under or overbites, small umbilical hernias, "innocent" heart murmurs (grade of 1-2 out of 6) which are expected to go away within a couple vet visits, or missing a testicle (sometimes they don't both "drop" until pups are much older). We will ALWAYS notify you of any such things on the first vet visit, and you are NOT required to take a pup that you do not feel comfortable with due to a normal (but not perfect) exam finding. In this case, we are happy to refund your deposit or move you to a future litter. We only allow pups to go home if we feel comfortable that the issue is benign/likely to go away with age.

Abnormal exams are when pups have an exam that concerns us for their long term health. An example of this would be severe patellar luxation (extremely loose knee joints- very different than typical puppy laxity), a loud heart murmur (ex, 4-5 out of 6), signs of juvenile cataracts, etc. In these situations, where the severity of the issue in question may impact their long term health, we hold on to the puppy until we can either wait for the next exam of have the pup checked by a specialist, depending on the issue. We have been very blessed in that every single pup we have ever had to pull from a list due to an abnormal exam has ended up being just fine, and the condition went away with age (typically within 1-2 vet visits) or remained benign! Still- we don't let pups go to new homes until we are comfortable that they can live normal, happy lives.
Ms. Pink: "Normal" but not perfect (small heart murmur) - just FYI, we are still holding on to this girl!
Ms. Lavender: Perfect exam!
Ms. Yellow: Perfect exam!
Ms. Violet: Perfect exam!
Ms. Lime: Perfect exam!
Mr. Blue: "Normal" but not perfect (small heart murmur)
Mr. Red: Perfect exam!

Take Home Instructions (Verify Schedule Below)!!!

If you haven't taken a peek at our Take Home Page yet- check it out!

I am so very excited to meet everyone. We are inviting everyone to a group "curbside pickup" at 11AM on July the 18th.  If 11AM is NOT a good time for you, please let me know so that we can reschedule for a different time (for example, we have 1 family picking up at 9AM and can accommodate others at that time if needed)! I will update the list below as adjustments are made and I will refer to it on take home day, so make sure the time below is good for you. Remember, the sooner your pup gets back to your home, the longer it will have to adjust before bedtime :)

RSF/Ms. Pink (Ember): Staying at RSF
Hunn/Ms. Lavender (Roxy): See you at 11AM on 7/18.
Carter/Mr. Red (Wally): See you at 9AM on 7/18.

Take Home Day used to be done as a big group in our home (I called pickups a Puppy Party)! Unfortunately COVID-19 has forced us to make some changes for our 2020 litters. To insure the safety of our family and all the other families taking home a pup, we will be doing "no-contact" puppy pickups. We are lucky to have a large driveway, so we can have many vehicles arrive at one time with plenty of distance in-between. Each "parking area" in our driveway will be clearly marked with parameters, and a puppy pen! Everyone must stay in their car at arrival. I will bring your puppy and go-home pack out to you. Once I put the puppy in the pen and walk away, you may exit your vehicle to meet your pup, stretch your legs, and wave at the other families and pups (from a distance).

Important Reminders:
1) To prevent deadly canine viruses (such as parvo) from entering our home, please:
-Clear the bottom of your shoes of all debris and sanitize the tread with a bleach product before your visit.
-Do not visit any pet stores, dog parks, vets, or others areas where dogs congregate on the day of your visit
-As much as we would love to meet your current pets, please do NOT bring any other pets when you visit.
We really appreciate you taking these steps to keep our precious babies SAFE!
2) Remember to pack these items to make your trip home with your new puppy easier:
-Towels or blankets to cover your seats and to hold the puppy in your lap with
-Paper towels, Clorox wipes, and baby wipes
-A water bottle and small Tupperware container with a lid to use as a bowl
-A lightweight leash (non-retractable, dollar store leashes are perfect!)

6th Pupdate:

Whoops! We didn't mean to have the camera down so long on Friday- sorry about that. The babies are thriving, eating moisten kibble, and well on their way to being fully weaned (though mom continues to check up on them and they like to sneak at snack at the "milkbar")! They are enjoying daily playtime in a larger puppy pen while we clean their pen, and they are hitting the litter pan with good accuracy (approx 80% of the time). Vet exams are on TUESDAY, so keep your fingers crossed that all goes well.
Ms. Pink: 1lb 12oz
Ms. Lavender: 1lb 5oz
Ms. Yellow: 2lb 4oz
Ms. Violet: 1lb 13oz
Ms. Lime: 1lb 12oz
Mr. Blue: 1lb 15oz
Mr. Red: 2lb 5oz

5th Pupdate: REMINDER... make sure to send puppy selections to us (via email) before 6PM EST on Saturday 06/27!!!!

Pups are doing so well!  They have gotten used to the potty pan and are using it pretty regularly. Teeth have not yet erupted, but we are just beginning to feel ridges on the gums that indicate that they teeth are on the way... so we will start the weaning process this week with "puppy mush." Pups have been enjoying occasional, short visits outside (supervised only) and will continue that this week.
Ms. Pink: 1lb 3oz - Ms. Pink is officially Red Spring Farm's keeper! She is playful, intelligent, and adorable. She will likely be on the low end of the expected size range (est. 12-15lbs).
Ms. Lavender: 14.5oz - This little gal is silly and sweet. She is so small and cute as a button, it takes everything in my power not to reach out and hold her close (which she LOVES)! She makes up for her small size by using her paws to swat at her bigger playmates. I expect this girl could be just under the expected size range (closer to 10lbs full grown).
Ms. Yellow: 1lb 9oz - This playful lass loves playtime with her siblings and attention from people. She plays hard but then settles happily in your arms for a cuddle. This gal will be on the higher end of the expected size range (17-20lbs)
Ms. Violet: 1lb 5oz - This wild child is goofy, playful, and full of personality. She loves to be the center of attention and is alert, intelligent, and quick to learn. She is already picking up on "Sit to Say Please" training!!! Wow! I estimate that this gal will be right around the middle of the expected size range (~15lbs).
Ms. Lime: 1lb 4oz - This gal is a sweet little lovebug. She isn't the first to explore something new, but after the go-ahead from Violet, Yellow, or Red and a moment to check it out from a distance, she can't resist to check it out herself. She loves soft cuddles and gentle kisses. I estimate that this gal will be right around the middle of the expected size range (~15lbs).
Mr. Blue: 1lb 5oz - This sweet guy is a little more passive than some of his rowdy siblings, but still a playful "dood" who is happy to explore new things. He loves to play and, like a typical little boy, wants to wrestle! I estimate that this fella will be right around the middle of the expected size range (~15lbs).
Mr. Red: 1lb 10oz - This "dood" is full of personality. He is the biggest pup in the litter and loves mealtime, I expect he will continue to be food motivated as he grows. Despite his big size, he doesn't throw around his size too much and often lets the smaller pups (especially Violet) by the dominant player when they wrestle. I estimate that this fella will be on the high end or possibly slightly exceed the estimated size range (est. 18-23lbs).

All A's: This dominant puppy is extremely bright and interactive. Raising him will take concentration, consistency and time and an experienced owner is recommended. They can be extremely rewarding pets for someone who wants to have a highly trained companion or competition dog of some sort (Agility, dock diving, etc).

All N's: Easy going and contained, "All N" puppies will be pleasant and an ideal pet for most families. These middle-of-the-road pups are confident enough that they won't live for their owner's approval and guidance like a "P" puppy would (N pups can be stubborn at times) but they won't be as defiant as an "A" puppy can be.

All P's: This puppy has a weak self-esteem and needs your reassurance to feel safe. Without proper lessons and socialization, he'll be shy. With proper socializing, "P" pups can "built up" to make excellent family dogs and tend to be very attached to their owners.

Mix of A and N's: This active puppy will want to be in the middle of everything but will show more impulse control when stimulated than an all "A" puppy. "A/N" puppies are great for loud/active families that want a pup with lots of personality and confidence, but that are not nearly as intense as "all A" puppies.

Mix of N and P's: This self-assured puppy will be easygoing and gentle yet with a stronger sense of self than a completely passive puppy. Because he's more composed, he'll be an ideal puppy for a calm household.

Important Information- please read thoroughly

1) Selection Day

Ginger's babies are still so tiny that selection day has crept up on me! Their little paws are still too small for the potty pan, so we ordered a "toy breed" sized tray that should arrive today. We have also ordered some toy breed collars (as the ones we normally use still don't fit) to help you ID each pup this week. I am confident that you will see lots of big changes this week as these precious babies grow and start to really play. Puppy selections are done remotely (NOT in person) in the order of the reservation list. This litter's selection day is on Saturday, June the 27th.

To make your selection, your family must create a list from your first pick puppy to last pick puppy from all of the puppies in this litter. You must email it to me no later than 6PM on selection day (June 27th). Pupdates, photos, videos, and temperament testing is provided on this page to help you with your decision, and of course I am available to discuss any additional questions at any time this week. Please try to email me any questions by Friday evening so that I have time Saturday to respond to everyone (if you have lots of questions, do not hesitate to number them and shoot them all to me in one email, then I can knock them all out at once)!

I will begin at the 1st family on the reservation list, assign them the next available puppy that is highest on their selection list, and then move on to the next family's list and repeat the process. I will continue in this manner until everyone has a puppy.

If you fail to submit your selection list and cannot be contacted via the phone number submitted on your application, this will result in your name being moved to the bottom of the reservation list. This date is posted well in advance above, and it is your responsibility to reach out to us with your decision!

2) Final Payments/Contracts

We only accept deposits online. Final payments ($2800) are to be paid in full via check and mailed to our home (no online or bank-to-bank transactions, sorry). Checks AND signed contracts must be mailed to our home and I must receive your check by July 4th (extended since I forgot to remind you last week)! I recommend that you mail your check ASAP, so it has plenty of time to arrive. Due to COVID-19, we are NOT accepting cash or any form of payment at pickup unless special arrangements are made in advance. Please reach out if mailing a check is not possible for you. Please make checks payable to Red Spring Farm LLC... mail checks and contracts to our home address: (SENT IN EMAIL)!

Typically contracts are signed at pickup. To prevent unnecessary contact on pickup day, I will be emailing you a copy of our contract (there is also a link below). Please print out a copy, initial each section, sign the bottom of each page, and mail it to us with your final payment check. I will fill out all the puppy information, spay neuter dates, etc. sign it, and provide you with a completed copy at puppy pickup in your go-home folder.

4th Pupdate:

We have a BIG week coming with these littles! They will be introduced to a litter pan and a bedding area over the weekend, which will help teach them to allocate space for sleeping and pottying... an important foundation to house training. Their little personalities are starting to shine through...
Ms. Pink: 428 grams. This little gal is one of the 3 girls I tested to help me determine which pup I will be retaining for my program. I love her little face and straighter-style wavy coat.
Ms. Lavender: 333 grams. Oh my goodness you can't help but want to wrap this girlie up! She is already a cuddle bug and has gotten used to extra attention, cuddles, and feeding times (so she isn't pushed off by an older puppy). We believe this girl is wavy- but will likely have "volume" to her wave (happy to provide example pictures, just shoot my an email).
Ms. Yellow: 546 grams. Every litter has a tail wagger, and I think that is this girl! She is already friends with everyone, and her little tail wags nonstop.
Ms. Violet: 481 grams. This girlie is very noticeable on camera thanks for the white speck on her forehead. Not only is she adorable, but she is smart too!
Ms. Lime: 466 grams. Ms. Lime is very sweet and attentive to the person she is interacting with. She is a suggle butt to the core and LOVES  being held.
Mr. Blue: 480 grams. This sweet boy is active and playful already. He likes to wrestle with his sisters... then settles down into your lap for snuggles.
Mr. Red: 611 grams. This chunky boy is a big fella but a total lover who doesn't realize that he can use his size to bully his siblings (yet)! I expect this boy will be on the high end of the expected weight range. We believe this boy is wavy- but will likely have "volume" to his wave (happy to provide example pictures, just shoot me an email).

3rd Pupdate:

Ginger's beauties are doing well. Ginger didn't get her big haircut after all ("grandma" got behind this week) but it is coming soon. Her little ones have all been growing like weeds AND we are starting to see their beautiful little peepers!!! Eyes are opening and these stinkers even began crawling out of the kiddie pool today, so they moved to a larger space in the puppy room. They will really start motoring around the pen this week, soooo adorable!
Ms. Pink: 293 grams
Ms. Lavender: 208 grams
Ms. Yellow: 378 grams
Ms. Violet: 341 grams
Ms. Lime: 296 grams
Mr. Blue: 317 grams
Mr. Red: 417 grams

2nd Pupdate:

Ginger's litter is doing so well! Everyone had significant gains this week and we expect to see eyes start to open any day now. Ginger will get the big mommy shave-down this week (she is overdue) so she asked that you ignore her slightly embarrassing haircut... she will be much more comfortable.
Ms. Pink: 207 grams
Ms. Lavender: 163 grams
Ms. Yellow: 291 grams
Ms. Violet: 244 grams
Ms. Lime: 252 grams
Mr. Blue: 232 grams
Mr. Red: 316 grams

1st Pupdate:

Ginger has taken to motherhood like a duck to water! We FINALLY got to handle her pups today. Ginger has been an extremely attentive mother and has strong nurturing instincts. She refuses to leave her side and has to be picked up and carried out for a bathroom break, and even then she fusses and paces at the door, ready to run straight back to her little ones. Though reluctant, she allowed us to handle them today long enough for photos. We took them quickly to prevent her from becoming too stressed. Very proud of our first time momma!
Ms. Pink: 143 grams, red/apricot female with some white on chest, appears wavy
Ms. Lavender: 112 grams, solid red/apricot female, possibly curly- unsure
Ms. Yellow: 176 grams,  red/apricot female with some white on chest, appears wavy
Ms. Violet: 177 grams, red/apricot female with some white on chest and speck on forehead, appears wavy
Ms. Lime: 161 grams, red/apricot female with some white on chest, appears wavy
Mr. Blue: 161 grams, solid red/apricot male, appears wavy
Mr. Red: 216 grams, red/apricot male with some white on chest, appears wavy

Happy Birthday! 5 Girls and 2 Boys
5/26

Ginger figured out how to get out of her maternity haircut! She started showing signs of labor on 5/26 and delivering her first pup that night (of course, she would decide to have babies right around my bedtime)! Ginger had a long delivery, but it was peaceful and she actually napped between pups (wow)! Ginger is such a small girl, I am amazed that she has been carrying 7 babies. Everyone is healthy. One female pup is on the small side, but thriving- Ginger was little as a newborn too!

Individual photos will be posted Friday so mommy gets time to bond with her babies. First time moms get anxious when pups are removed for photos.
