Take Home Instructions
1) Selection Day
Bia's Litter: August 26th
Sadie's Litter: August 26th
Puppy selections are done remotely (NOT in person) in the order of the reservation list.
To make your selection, your family must create a list from your first pick puppy to last pick puppy from all of the puppies in this litter. You must email it to me no later than 6PM on selection day. Pupdates, photos, videos, and temperament testing is provided on the litter page to help you with your decision, and of course I am available to discuss any additional questions. Please try to email me any questions by the evening before selection day so that I have time to respond to everyone (if you have lots of questions, do not hesitate to number them and shoot them all to me in one email, then I can knock them all out at once)!
I will begin at the 1st family on the reservation list, assign them the next available puppy that is highest on their selection list, and then move on to the next family's list and repeat the process. I will continue in this manner until everyone has a puppy.
If you fail to submit your selection list and cannot be contacted via the phone number submitted on your application, this will result in your name being moved to the bottom of the reservation list. This date is posted well in advance on the litter page, and it is your responsibility to reach out to us with your decision!
2) Final Payments/Contracts
Bia's Litter: Due August 27th
Sadie's Litter: Due August 27th
MUST BE IN MY MAILBOX BY THE ABOVE DATE
We only accept deposits virtually. Final payments are to be paid in full via check and mailed to our home (no online or bank-to-bank transactions, sorry), due on the day that you select your puppy. Please do so early so that it has plenty of time to arrive. Remember to deduct the $200 deposit from your full payment amount when you send the final payment. Please reach out if it is not possible for you to mail a check or if you would like verification of what your total final payment needs to be. Please make checks payable to Red Spring Farm LLC and can be mailed to (email me for address).
3) Take Home Day
Bia's Litter: September 3rd
Sadie's Litter: September 3rd
IF YOU ARE FLYING AND WE HAVE NOT DISCUSSED YOUR PICKUP DATE, REACH OUT TO ME ASAP
If you might have come in contact with someone who has COVID-19, or are experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, or loss of smell, please contact me immediately, before arriving at my property.
*AT THIS TIME, MASKS ARE STILL MANDATORY WHEN YOU ARE INSIDE OUR HOME.
We meet people from all over the United States, and I can't take sick days! I am also involved in the care of an elderly relative who is immuno-compromised... so I try to be very cautious when meeting puppy families. I ask that you wear a mask when you are inside our home. If the weather is nice, we try to do pick-up day outside in the open air to reduce the risk of COVID exposure, and so you don't have to wear a mask if you don't want to.
Take Home Day Reminders:
1) I invite EVERYONE to arrive at 11AM on pickup day. If you cannot make this time, please reach out and confirm your different pickup time.
2) To prevent deadly canine viruses (such as parvo) from entering our home, please:
-Clear the bottom of your shoes of all debris and sanitize the tread with a bleach product before your visit.
-Do not visit any pet stores, dog parks, vets, or others areas where dogs congregate leading up to your visit.
-As much as we would love to meet your current pets, please do NOT bring any other pets when you visit.
We really appreciate you taking these steps to keep our precious babies SAFE!
3) Remember to pack these items to make your trip home with your new puppy easier:
-Towels or blankets to cover your seats and to hold the puppy in your lap with
-Paper towels, Clorox wipes, and baby wipes
-A water bottle and small Tupperware container with a lid to use as a bowl
-A lightweight leash (non-retractable, dollar store leashes are perfect!)
4) If possible, bring a helper that can hold your puppy on the trip home. While riding in a strapped down/secured crate is generally safer (and something that we recommend as your dog gets older) this is a very big day for your puppy. He/she is leaving her littermates for the first time and joining a new, strange world. We want everything to be as positive as possible today, and putting your puppy in a crate for the ride home may be a scary, negative experience that the pup will associate with the crate, the car, and even you! Cuddles on the ride home allows them to find comfort with you, and will begin the bonding process immediately.
4) Snuggle Puppy Orders
If you would like to order your puppy a snuggle puppy (or anything else), please order one directly off of Amazon.com or Chewy.com and mail it to my address (email for address). I will include it in your puppy packet. PLEASE include your name as the recipient of any item that you order so that I know who it belongs to!
